2008
Kanak was a finalist in the Inspired by Architecture section of the 2008 Wearable Art show. Inspired by the Jean-Marie Tjibaou cultural centre in new Caledonia designed by Renzo Piano. The architecture of the costume contains and shades the body as referenced by the cultural centre. The garment was awarded the Runner up Student Design Award.
